Day at the Park and Hail?

Last week the weather was beautiful so we went to the park for a picnic. They were so excited to pack a lunch and eat outside. I am trying to be better at having things to do with them since Ryan's work schedule has changed and it seems that it's just the three (and a half) of us a lot more of the time. This is the picture I got when I asked them to open their eyes. :)

They have been asking to go to the park since the snow melted. Wyatt started out going down the slides like this, but then got up the nerve to go down on his bum.Carson has no fear and makes friends everywhere he goes. Wyatt loves being outside and playing hard.I am usually not a fan of the park mostly because of the dirtiness, germs, some of the other kids and parents, having to worry about the kids getting hurt, and weirdos at the park watching my kids. Anyway.... now my kids are getting older, it is much easier to watch them and they had a lot of fun together.

Then the next day... what the hail? I have never heard a storm hit my house like that before. Ryan called while it was coming down and he thought the kids were pounding on pots and pans.
The hail shredded our new grill cover. Guess we'll be finding another new one soon.
What a fun and crazy week with this Utah spring weather!

b ball

Grandpa Ted got a demo basketball hoop for free from his work and brought it down to the boys last week. He even bought them each their own ball--smart Grandpa! It is all they have wanted to do everyday since. Ry and I even played a little last night. I'm sure I looked pretty hot out there. :) It will be a fun thing to have to entertain the boys this summer!

Lying

It is one thing I HATE! I hate being lied to by anyone and especially lately our little Carson Man. I know he does it because he doesn't want to get in trouble. How can I teach him that he gets in more trouble for lying? Is there any hope or is this just the beginning?

Baby Update--32 weeks

I got a chance to measure our little baby today. He is measuring 4 lbs 14oz. He is following after his brothers with a little bigger head and shorter legs. He looks like he is going to have a good amount of hair too. I can't wait to see him!

His kidney dilation is growing about a centimeter per week, which to me seems like a lot. I am going to Primary's on Wednesday to meet with a pediatric urologist to find out what we will need to do once he is here. I also have another "official" ultrasound next week and get to see my doctor as well. At my last appointment he talked about taking the baby at 37 weeks, so hopefully we will get more answers next week so I can plan. I don't do well without a plan. It just makes me stress out. I am loving feeling him move and feeling pretty good, other than a few emotional moments. Thanks Ry, again for putting up with me and your patience! Thanks to my sisters for laughing at me so I can realize how small and silly things are, all mom's have our moments, and for helping me laugh at myself too. And thanks to Carson and Wyatt for loving me even though I am sometimes a stinker too.

Happy Birthday Ryan!

The boys were so excited all day for Ryan to come home from work so we could start celebrating his birthday. I made dinner and even cooked asparagus (one of his favs) for my first time. We gave him new razors (ooo exciting), sunglasses, and a new game for the Wii. I think we did pretty good because he isn't taking anything back to the store. :)
I figured he needed some super cool sunglasses to wear while cruising in the van instead of wearing mine like he has been. Although, he did look quite studly in woman sunglasses!
YES! I did it! I caught him blowing out his candles. He is going to love this picture!
Happy Birthday Babe! I hope we were able to help make your birthday special. You are a wonderful dad and husband. Our favorite time of day is when you get home. Thank you for all you do for us. You are the best! WE LOVE YOU!!!

Happy Easter!

We had a really fun Easter weekend. The boys made these bunny ears and pretended to hide eggs around the house throughout the weekend.
"Some bunny" fell asleep on the way home. No, the picture is not turned the wrong direction.
Dying Easter eggs. I hard boiled 18 eggs, but probably should have done at least two dozen with how fast they dyed them and how fast they are eating them.
Wyatt hunting eggs at my mom's house.
Carson and his loot. They got these new clothes from Grandma that they LOVE. Hopefully it will warm up soon so they can wear them and not freeze!
The boys got some candy and these new clothes in their baskets at our house. I can't wait for Aunt Michelle to get some spring pictures of them after the baby gets here!We also celebrated Ryan's birthday with my family. He blew out his candles really fast so I couldn't get a picture in time. Thus the smirk on his face. :) His birthday is Tuesday, so more about this stud later.
I also thought General Conference was great. Yeah for a wonderful weekend!
**BTW this is my 200th post! Not too shabby!

Fort Knox bites us in the you-know-what

Remember my post on the Boogie Man? Well, since then, we have been really cautious about locking our doors, keeping lights on, and Ryan even made some posts to stick in all of the windows so you can't slide open the windows.

Wednesday night, my counselor wanted to go down to the Primary training meeting at temple square and so I went with her. I sent the boys over to my neighbor's house and promised Ryan would be home in the next 30 minutes. Ryan called me just as we were getting off of the freeway and was completely locked out. He was totally freaking out and told me I needed to come home. I didn't have a key either and knew I would be no help since I didn't have a way in either. (Plus, did I want to sit outside for hours--not really.) He had tried to program the opener in the van and must have reset all of the openers and didn't have a key. He tried everything like prying open the garage door and even tried calling a locksmith. He ended up having to drill through the door knob and dead bolt to get in.

Thanks to good neighbors (who will probably never want to watch the boys again), he got in about 30 minutes before I got home. What a fun night! I guess we will have to lighten a little bit of security so we can get into our own home.
