Baby Power

Every time Easton gets a diaper change, he asks for baby power (powder).  It's so funny and he says it so cute.  (I need to be better about writing things down, thus this post.)  He is showing signs of getting ready to be potty trained.  I'm just on the fence if he really is ready and if it is too close to the baby coming.  I want it to be easy, and of course, it would rock to only have one kid in diapers. 

First Week of Second Grade!

 I am so glad Carson was excited and ready for school to start!  It makes sending him so much easier.  They usually start on Tuesdays here, which is kind of weird, but makes the week a little shorter.

 He wanted pancakes for breakfast, and I did my best meeting his requests by making him a 2 for second grade and an A-t. 

 Wyatt doesn't start kindergarten until next week, but didn't want to be left out and wanted a W for Wyatt and a K for kindergarten.

 Easton wanted a Mickey Mouse.

 Here is my little stud.  He wanted a side pack this year.  I told him--it looks like your driving that motorcycle on your shirt and he grabs the handlebars and makes his infamous motor sounds.  I love it!

 Ryan's first time being there for the first day of school.  I love my little family and can't believe there is going to be one more. 

 Carson with a couple of his friends that are in his class this year--Teagan & Jace.  They all line up from recess before going into their class.

 This is when my tears started flowing.  Ryan calls it my prego-mones.  Carson was so excited to get Mr. Gatto as his teacher this year.  I think it will be a great thing for him to have a male teacher.  He came home happy and had a wonderful first day.

 His second day was just as good and he informed me of the girls chasing him on the playground.  :)

 The third day he informed me one of the girls chasing him on the playground, Emma, is now his girlfriend.  Oh my!  That didn't take long, but what can I expect?!?  He is so cute.  I would probably chase him too. ;)

I could tell he was getting tired by the fourth day.  He came home with his homework folder and it doesn't look like he will bored.  However, if anyone has any chapter book suggestions for boys, please send them my way.  I think finding things he is interested in reading will be my challenge.  Here is to hoping for a great school year!  Love you, Carson!



Date Night

This doesn't happen as much as we would like, but we do appreciate every time it does.  My mom and dad took Carson and Wyatt for the weekend for school shopping, a parade, and rodeo--bless their hearts.  So we woke up Saturday morning and took Easton with us to Payson where we picked raspberries and went to a farmer's market in Spanish Fark where I got the best peaches, pears, and apples I have had in a long time.  (Thanks Michelle for coming with us!)  We came home and made jam and later some friends stopped by and to take Easton and would not take no for an answer.  So, Ry and I went to dinner at Los Hermanos because we had a coupon then went to the driving range.  I got asked if "that" gets in the way of my follow through--whatever that means.  I should ask my golf pro parents.  I wanted to go park somewhere but darn it we didn't take the van, so we just went and picked up Easton and probably went to bed since I don't remember much since I pretty much sit down and fall asleep these days.  :)
