New Years Resolutions

I didn't set any officially last year, but I did want to be happier with the boys and more patient.  I think I did a little better, so I will chalk it up to a success and keep it up.  :) 

This year Ryan and I set resolutions together, which was the first time ever.  We put down 12 resolutions, but I think we set our goals pretty high.  If we can accomplish any, I would like it to be these and I would consider the year a success: 

1.  Take a vacation together (even if it is camping)
2.  Say one thing positive to the each of the kids each day
3.  Finish backyard flowerbeds

January

January hasn't been too exciting around here.  We all really wish it would snow.  If it's going to be cold we at least need snow!  We have done some fun things like swimming, playing with friends, and probably best of all, my dad's birthday bowling party.  It was Easton's first time and he loved it.

 Speaking of Easton, he can show us how old he is.  He tells us he is happy.  He is saying a few more words, is still a trouble maker, but lots of fun.  He is a little beaver and gnaws at his crib.  I am not ready to move him into a bed, but it is very tempting.  

 Wyatt is beginning to read and is doing so well.  He has memorized our phone number and can't wait to go to kindergarten.  He doesn't even care that he will have to get shots (right now--we'll see when that day comes).  They moved the little boy out of his preschool class that would kiss him, so school is much more enjoyable.

 I received a call from Carson's teacher last week.  I was super nervous since he had told me he had gotten his name on the board and missed a little recess.  She called to tell me they started a new discipline system and he got 'Outstanding' for the day.  I am so proud of him for trying hard and being such a smart boy!

 Yes, I am the homeless looking person not stealing a garbage can, but hauling it down the road to get dumped.  This is the third time too!  You'd think I could remember garbage day!  In my defense, I am post call.

 I have a really good friend that is getting me to be more crafty.  Thanks Lisa for the good times and cute decor for my house!!

And only 12 more days of January to go!
