Happy Birthday Easton!!!

Monday night I was so sad because the next day would be my baby's birthday. He has grown up too fast. Although, we did have a fun day of celebrating!He is so dang cute. I can't get enough of this little guy! He loved receiving phone calls and hearing his grandma, aunts and cousins sing, "Happy Birthday" to him. He would grin and dance. It was adorable. That evening, we invited his grandparents over for dinner.
Then hurried over to Carson's soccer game. Wyatt took pictures of all the party go-ers. Carson is in the blue shorts.

The cake on the left is Easton's to destroy. The cake on the right is the one the rest of us ate.

Easton loved making a huge mess. He would get frosting all over his hands then shake them off.

What the cake looked like after! Wyatt even had frosting on his face thanks to Easton!

I don't think he ate very much, but he loved playing in it!

Carson and Wyatt opened all of his presents. Poor little guy! He did enjoy the wrapping paper of course! He got a few toys, sandals, lots of new clothes and pjs.

And sporting his new duds. He had is 12 month appointment today. Those shots wore him out because he is taking a super nap. The doctor told me it's better to go cold turkey from nursing instead of weaning because the baby doesn't understand why he could nurse a few hours ago and can't now. He will not take a sippy or bottle, but the doctor says he won't dehydrate himself and he will drink as long as there is something available to him. I haven't been told that before, so I thought it was good advice.

Head Circumference: 18 3/4'' (89%)

And some things I want to remember about Easton at 1 year old:

• He dances when he hears music or is being sung to.


• He loves being outside and crawls as fast as he can to get out when the door opens.


• He is eating a little better, but makes a huge mess when does.


• He rides so well in the car and usually falls asleep.


• He had his first four wheeler ride and seemed to like it.


• He loves to play in dirt.


• He holds his left leg up when he sits on the grass.


• He either wants to be held or doesn't and he lets us know if we are doing something he doesn't like.


• He loves holding onto the dishwasher when it's open and playing in it.


• He has figured out how to open cupboards.


• He finds his walker and walks around the house all by himself.


• He is still a mommy's boy, and I hope for always will.


• He unrolls the toilet paper roll--he is a mess maker!


• He spits out food if he doesn't like it and spits when I try to offer him something he doesn't want.

We love you Baby E! You have been through a lot in your first year. You are one tough boy, a lot of fun, and as cute as can be. We LOVE you!! Happy Birthday!
